The
smallest of the Snapdragon range and specially designed with
a well-balanced hull and
simple rig for steady sailing with easy handling – the bilge
keels being especially useful in our local waters. Although
often described as a 4 berth boat, it should probably be best
regarded as being ideal for 1 or 2 to enjoy yachting in one
of its most satisfyingly simple forms.
“Dawn Treader” needs some typical pre-season
preparation work in common with all yachts, as well as a few
obvious cosmetic jobs (for example new washboards would be
good), but apparently she looks like a basic but potentially
capable mini-cruiser which, although perhaps somewhat dated
in style, still has a lot of simple boating pleasure to offer.
