EQUANIMITY - £8,500 Type: Macgregor 26C: 4 Berth swing centre plate sailing cruiser with water ballast. LOA – 25 ft 10, Beam 7 ft 11 Draft – 12 inches / 6ft 3 (board up/down) (Approx) Displacement 2,450 lbs (1,200 lbs water ballast) - Built 1991 Engine: Honda 10hp 4 stroke petrol outboard engine – electric start. Sails: Main with lazy jacks and stacking bag, Furling jib. Mast raising/lowering tackle. Mainsail bag and side dodgers new in Autumn 2011. Trailer: Painted twin axle Macgregor trailer with recent UK hitch. Auto-greasing hubs, docking arms. Tyres look recent. Spare wheel and tyre. Appears to be in very good condition. This is the precursor to the more current Macgregor 26X powersailer, and many say that this is a considerably better sailing boat than the current model which is logical as it was designed purely as a sailing boat and not to be a hybrid. The water-ballast creates the advantage of her being very light for her size on the trailer, while the spacious cockpit and decks make her a very usable estuary/lake sailing boat. The “pop-up” top gives more headroom below when not underway. A double V berth in the bow, and a large double berth under the cockpit combine with a single berth along the portside. The enclosed heads compartment incorporates a chemical WC. Prior to being put on the market, the Vendor obtained a Condition Survey and valuation report from a local marine surveyor which is on file and the boat is placed on the market in accordance with the recommendations of that survey. (Note – strict copyright laws prevent copies of any survey being distributed)
